Thanks for stopping by! I'm Cassy Akouri, a visual artist working from my home studio in Massachusetts. Here's a little about me...

I've always considered myself an artist, even from a very young age. Some things you just always know. In college, I studied graphic design and fine art/painting at Massachusetts College of Art & Design. I went on to earn a Master's Degree in Art Education from Rhode Island School of Design.

I like to consider myself a life-long learner. I'm always learning and discovering new ways to share art with the world and be a creative person.

I spent five years teaching high school level art which was some of the best time of my life! I absolutely love sharing artistic knowledge with others. After I had my first child, I felt I was needed at home more than anywhere else.

At first this change was really taxing on my creative process, but little did I know that it would actually catapult my work into a much stronger direction. I began to paint consistently and my skills and self expression boomed. I continue to work on who I am as artist.
